Earth Worm Jim Review

In this game you play as a worm named Jim that with the power of a space suit that fell down to earth he changed to a super hero. Then Jim hears about a plan to take over the galaxy. There are 4 different difficulties of gameplay: easy, normal, hard, and original. There are 16 different levels to play:

New Junk City
Andy Asteroids (MiniGames)
What the Heck?
Down the Tubes
Tube Race
Snot a Problem!
Who Turned Out the Lights?
For Pete's Sake
Intestinal Distress
ButtVille

There are many different enemies that range from a garbage bin to a Queen Slug. There is the occasional lag that every port game has, nothing to bad.The controls are a d-pad or a virtual joystick. There are 3 action buttons that include: jump, whip, and attack. I have found the d-pad much easier to use. There are many power ups including fuel pods and ammo. There are 10 different environments which change the action buttons in each one.

My main problem is that the only way to save the game is to beat a level.

Earth Worm Jim is one of those games that is a good memory of a game you used to play! It

One of the things that the iTunes store has made me happy about is the successful ports of my old favorite games. Like EarthWorm Jim!

In line with the storyline are the cool charecters with names like Bob the Killer Goldfish, Evil the Cat, Major Mucus, Chuck and Fifi, Psy-Crow, and Queen Slug-for-a-Butt. The graphics are amazing, just like a platformer you want to see now a days! The animation could not be better. The game has the occasional lag on my iPod Touch 1G, just like all ports.

Then on the minogame after each level you use tilt controls to dodge objects and pick up objects.

The game has 10 different environments which I think all are awesome! The gameplay is what brought me to wanting the game! One of my favorite levels is New Junk City where it literally is a city made out of old appliances and tires!

Earthworm Jim is like no other worm or human. He can pull his head off for a whip and to attack enemies. If he were human he would be “SUPER HUMAN!”

The only problem is that there is a lack of save points. The only way to save is to beat a level.Overall, Earthworm Jim is one the best platformers out there and I come back and want more every time I exit the game! I give this a 4/5 *****
